Biography:

He is a National Investigator Level 3 and Head of the Unidad de Investigación Médica en Bioquímica of the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social, in Mexico. Active member of the Academia Nacional de Medicina de Mexico, and since 2017 is Co-editor of the Gaceta Médica de México journal. Member of the Global Lipids Genetics Consortium. He is author of 3 books, 20 book chapiters, 198 journal articles, and to date he has 4,215 citations. In the biomedical science, he has graduated 39 bachelors, 23 masters, 11 PhD´s, and 14 medical specialty students.
